Summary Fusion

This plugin aggregates the records of multiple apps and registers the results. In addition to totaling numbers, it can count records and table rows that match conditions, so it can be used for monthly inventory aggregation, or for listing days worked and total working hours from daily reports.

Setup

Prepare the aggregation fields

In the app in which this plugin is installed (the destination), place the following fields to save the aggregation results. The numbers correspond to the numbers in the image.

Fields of the destination app

① Identifier Field
The field used as the unit of aggregation. Records are searched for by the value of this field, and if no matching record exists, a new one is added.
② Aggregation Fields
The fields that save the aggregation results.

If the identifier fields include fields that cannot be edited, such as the record number or the creator, records are not added; only existing records are updated.

The app in which the source data is registered (the source) needs the following fields. The numbers correspond to the numbers in the image.

Fields of the source app

① Identifier Field
The field that contains the same values as the identifier field of the destination app.
② Aggregation Target Field
The field that holds the value to aggregate, such as a sales amount or quantity. This value is added to or subtracted from the aggregation field of the destination app.

After placing the fields, click "Update App" in each app to apply the changes. Fields that have not been updated cannot be selected on the plugin settings screen.

You can also combine multiple identifier fields. For example, combining a product lookup field and a year-month number field lets you aggregate into one record for each product and month.

Specify the settings

On the plugin settings screen, specify the fields of this app.

Settings

Identifier Field
Specify the field used as the unit of aggregation. Records are searched for using the fields specified here as keys, and the aggregation results are registered. You can specify more than one.

If you specify a lookup field as an identifier field, its "Key field" must be set to a field in the datasource app that has "Prohibit duplicate values" selected.

Then specify the source apps and the button that runs the aggregation.

Source App
Specify the app in which the source data is registered. You can add rows to specify multiple source apps.
Source App Settings
Click "Open Settings" and specify the fields of the source app.
Execute Button Label
Enter the label of the button that runs the aggregation.
Confirmation message before execution
Enter the confirmation message shown before the aggregation runs.
Executable List View
Specify the views in which the execute button is shown.
Users, departments, and groups allowed to run
To allow the aggregation based on the logged-in user, or the departments and groups the user belongs to, specify who is allowed.

If you change the identifier fields, the source app settings are reset.

Specify the source app settings

Click "Open Settings" for a source app to show the settings screen of the source app.

On the screen that appears, specify the fields of the source app.

Settings

Identifier Field
Specify the field of the source app that is matched against the identifier field of this app.
Additional Filter Condition
To narrow down the records to aggregate further, specify the conditions.
Fields in the Source App
Specify the field that holds the value to aggregate, such as a sales amount or the quantity of goods received or shipped.
This App
Specify the field of this app in which the aggregation result is saved.
Aggregation Method
Select whether the value of the source app field is added or subtracted. For values handled in the negative direction, such as quantities shipped or refunds, select subtraction.

Fields in different tables cannot be combined in the identifier fields and the aggregation fields.

A field specified as an identifier field cannot be specified as an aggregation field.

To save the number of records or table rows that match the conditions instead of a total of values, specify "Record Count" for the source app field. For example, this can be used to count days present or days absent.

Show the execute button

When you open the list view specified on the settings screen, the execute button appears.

Run the aggregation

Click the execute button to start the aggregation. During the aggregation, the progress is shown.

Check the results

When the aggregation finishes, the results are saved in the record for each value of the identifier fields. If no matching record exists, a new one is added.

Each time it runs, the aggregation recalculates the source data from the beginning and saves it. No matter how many times you run it, values are never added twice. Records for identifier values that have no matching data in the source are left as they are without being updated.
